A Grand Ending

View Round the World on shoestring's travel map.

And so it comes to a close. Our grand adventure ends where it began, in Epsom - very familiar territory yet strangely distant. We hope you've enjoyed reading our blog, and thank everyone who left comments - we always looked forward to reading them. In addition to our thousands of photos there are many hours of video footage that will be edited down soon into A Grand Adventure: the Movie. Look out for one more blog entry once it's ready to watch!

Our flight out of Iceland was on time and uneventful. At Heathrow were greeted with some typically English weather and a welcoming committee - each of our families, who drove us home.

With so much to talk about and catch up on, our journeys flew by. Back in Epsom we all enjoyed a slice of cake and a proper cup of tea.

And what could be grander than that?

Ah so proud, you took on the challenge and came up with the goods. Wally came home! Hurrah!!!!!
Love it.Very impressed, well shoehorned in. Wally is truly international now. Well done dudes.
Wally looked tired so did Kazza. You'll have to vreate a large poster to spot where's Wally for the house and for people to play. Excellent idea I say, Such fun!!!
Yes it will be strange for you both to adjust to the surroundings and getting back into routines, some which will be like putting slippers some not, random I know but that's me.
I shall very much look forward to seeing you both and catching up and watching the EPIC MOVIE!!!
Popcorn, sweets and drinks at the ready.
I shall await the great premiere and unveiling.
I hope you had a lovely welcoming comittee.
New Wally adventures I think, I shall have to start plotting.
See you both soon, get some rest and relaxation you'll feel shellshocked for a bit I bet. Take care. XXXX
It's all over for now.
