Venice, Vidi, Vici

We spent the day exploring the seafront from Santa Monica to Venice Beach, before heading away from the sea to look at Venice's canals. They were attractive, but quite different to those in Italy.

Our original plan for this evening was to go to CBS Studio Center and watch the filming of a sitcom called Happily Divorced - the only show with tickets available during our stay. However, after booking tickets we found out that the studios are a nightmare to get to without a car, and we'd have had to spend around two hours on the bus each way, changing twice. Plus, you apparently can't wear jeans and T-shirts so Ben would have needed a new wardrobe. A bit too much effort to watch a show we've never heard of, shown on a channel we didn't know existed, starring an actress unfamiliar to us.

Instead we took advantage of the all-you-can eat burger night at the hostel, taking a break from pasta. However, we may have overdone the burgers...
